The management office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The management office is led by the regional director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the management office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is reflected in the region's various activities. Our operations

The Secretariat for Committees is a unit within the management office of Region Uppsala, Planning and Development Department. The unit supports the political leadership and elected representatives of Region Uppsala so that they can fulfill their assignments in the best possible way. The unit's mission includes ensuring that Region Uppsala's preparation process for committees and boards is effective and quality-assured so that the political will has an impact.

Your mission

As a preparation secretary, you will work independently to coordinate the process for the area you are responsible for. The mission includes, among other things:

• Independently prepare and conduct preparation meetings
• Support to the political leadership
• Be responsible for the conduct of elections to political bodies

It may also involve handling and quality reviewing cases. Since the position is new, there are good opportunities to, together with the head of the secretariat and colleagues, contribute to and influence the continued design of the position.

Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for development, coordination, and quality assurance. You will work digitally in the document and case management system Public 360. You are expected to contribute to continuous development and improvement of routines and working methods.

Your qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and sometimes within tight deadlines. You also need to be service-oriented, solution-oriented, responsible, and able to deliver on time. Good communication skills are very important.

• You should have experience in qualified administration in public operations
• You have a relevant university degree with a social science orientation or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• You have good knowledge of the Local Government Act and administrative law
• You have experience and interest in development work
• You are skilled in handling various data systems, and it is an advantage if you can manage the case and document management system Public360
• You have documented and rated experience in expressing yourself well in speech and writing

The position is full-time, permanent employment with a start date by agreement. A probationary period may be applied.
